Course Overview:

This course provides information about pediatric dosage calculations, pediatric pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, and administration strategies for different age groups. In a light-hearted simulation of medication administration on a pediatric unit, the learner calculates pediatric drug doses, considers common pediatric medical diagnoses and determines whether a medication seems reasonable to administer, and identifies medication administration strategies that are developmentally safe and appropriate.

Course Objectives:
